    Additional Notes
A minor amendment to the HCP was executed in 2006. This amendment (1) relocated the Camp Wilderness conservation area so that it is adjacent to the conservation area for the Infrastructure HCP (making a larger block of protected habitat and improving habitat connectivity, (2) applied an updated habitat quality assessment to the Camp Wilderness project, resulting in a greater contribution of compensatory habitat units (larger area and higher quality habitat); and (3) combined annual monitoring reports for the Camp Wilderness HCP and the Recreation and Infratstructure HCP. With the delistig of the WVNFS in Sept. 2008, Snowshoe exercised an option to discontinue monitoring. However, the conservation area is protected in perpetuity through a conservation easement held by The Nature Conservancy.
