    As of April 2006, there are 31 non-industrial private landowners (including non-profit organizations) with 20,971 acres enrolled in the program with a total baseline of 13. One industrial private landowner is enrolled with 1,247,260 acres, 5,000 acres of which are designated as a Habitat Management Area (HMA), and a baseline of 14. Two private land management groups enrolled (transferred enrollment) 41,653 acres, 1,770 acres of which are designated as HMA. These groups together assume the baseline of 4 that was attached to the property that they acquired from industry. This makes a total of 34 landowners, 1,309,884 acres, and 31 RCW groups enrolled.

    This is a cooperative effort by a multitude of partners to beneficially enhance and restore pineywoods habitat for use by red-cockaded woodpeckers
