| A range of currently and potentially suitable RCW habitats are eligible for participation in the GA Statewide RCW SHA. These habitats range from planted loblolly pine plantations to natural longleaf pine stands. It is expected that most SHA participants will be those landowners who grow older-aged pine forest stands for aestethic or recreation reasons, those who are in close proximity to the few remaining RCW populations, and those who want to encourage RCWs on their lands. In particular, participation is expected from many of the nature reserves, quail hunting plantations, and small and large timber landowners in southern Georgia. | |
