| The applicant's lot is characterized by a wet beach, primary dunes, and secondary dunes. The 75- by 390-foot lot is located in the primary/secondary dune system. The vegetation on the lot consists of sea oats, seashore salt grss, seaside millet, beach morning glory, and coastal plain penny wort. The vegetation and dune areas extend from the wet beach to the northern property boundary. Fort Morgan Peninsula is part of the Eastern Gulf Coastal Plain physiographic province and is contained in the Coastal Lowlands. The dune systems are of Holocene age (less than 10,0000 years. The peninsula is a spit attached to the Alabama mainland to the east. | |
