In 2018 and 2019, USFWS and AGFD brought additional fish into captivity from Yeager Canyon, and stocked them into Willow, Gentry and Turkey creeks in 2018. AGFD conducted a wild-to-wild translocation of LC Spinedace collected from Yeager Canyon and released into Willow and Gentry in September 2019. In total AGFD stocked ~200 LC Spinedace into Turkey Creek and ~1,750 into Willow/Gentry on two different occasions. Turkey Creek dried the fall of 2020 and all spinedace appear to be gone; Willow and Gentry persist and fish were confirmed in surveys completed in August 2021.

AGFD continues to monitor spinedace in the East Clear Creek watershed and mechanically remove nonnatives (e.g., green sunfish) when found in drainages.
