The SBNF has provided an exotic plant educational brochure to Southwest Shore Recreation Residence Tract cabin owners to protect pedate checkermallow habitat. The SBNF has revised its dispersed camping, fuelwood collection, and target shooting policies to avoid habitat for these species. The San Bernardino National Forest policy under the 2006 Land Management Plan prohibits use of vehicles off designated routes. In summation, the SBNF does limit recreational use in sensitive habitat areas. There is no known limits of recreational use on private property.
