Jesup's milk-vetch (Astragalus robbinsii var. jesupi) 3 16 Propagate seeds Ongoing Current FY 2012 Private Organizations, USFWS Regional Office 5 Management: Reintroduction Contract
Jesup's milk-vetch (Astragalus robbinsii var. jesupi) 3 17 Establish and manage new populations Ongoing Current FY 2012 State Agencies, including the New Hampshire Natural Heritage Inventory and the Vermont Natural Heritage Program, Private Organizations, USFWS Regional Office 5 Management: Propagation, Management: Habitat Maintenance and Manipulation, Other, Research: Reintroduction, Management: Population Monitoring Species Expert, Internal Technical Assistance Determined we need a minimum of 5 year effort to ascertain whether a population will be successfully established at a new location. Transplanted JMV failed at introduction site after 2 years, reason unknown. Will continue to transplant and manage this site for up to 3 years before determining whether it was a failure.
Jesup's milk-vetch (Astragalus robbinsii var. jesupi) 1 2 Ensure continuation of river dynamics Obsolete USFWS Regional Office 5, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Work type not yet selected Labor type not yet selected
Jesup's milk-vetch (Astragalus robbinsii var. jesupi) 3 3 Encourage cooperation among public and private agencies Ongoing Current Prior to FY 1995 State Agencies, including the New Hampshire Natural Heritage Inventory and the Vermont Natural Heritage Program, Private Organizations, USFWS Regional Office 5 Other: Information and Education Species Expert JMV recovery activities are based on a partnership with the NEFO, NH Natural Heritage Bureau, Vermont Endangered Species Program and New England Wildflower Society.

Jesup's milk-vetch (Astragalus robbinsii var. jesupi) 2 5 Continue current field surveys Partially Complete FY 2000 - FY 2004 State Agencies, including the New Hampshire Natural Heritage Inventory and the Vermont Natural Heritage Program, USFWS Regional Office 5 Research: Population Assessment, Research: Ecosystem Studies, Management: Reintroduction, Research: General, Research: Population Surveys, Research: Habitat Status, Research: Habitat Requirements, Research: Demographic Studies, Management: Population Monitoring Species Expert, Contract, Internal Technical Assistance
Jesup's milk-vetch (Astragalus robbinsii var. jesupi) 2 6 Expand survey effort Ongoing Current FY 2000 - FY 2004 FY 2012 State Agencies, including the New Hampshire Natural Heritage Inventory and the Vermont Natural Heritage Program, USFWS Regional Office 5 Research: Population Surveys, Research: Habitat Status, Management: Population Monitoring Species Expert, Contract Surveys for possible new populations as well as potential introduction sites were completed in FY06 and may be reviewed and resurveyed in the near future. Surveys were reinitiated in FY 2010 and will continue in FY2011. Due to changing river dynamics (recent repeated flood events in 2007 and 2009), possible impacts of climate change and other land use changes, it is possible that suitable, unoccupied habitat exists as well as small, undiscovered populations, hence the repeat of surveys in 2010 and 2011.
Jesup's milk-vetch (Astragalus robbinsii var. jesupi) 2 7 Assess habitat requirements Ongoing Current FY 2012 State Agencies, including the New Hampshire Natural Heritage Inventory and the Vermont Natural Heritage Program, Private Organizations, USFWS Regional Office 5 Work type not yet selected Labor type not yet selected Microhabitat parameters investigations were initiated in FY07 and expected to be completed by FY09. Transplanted seedlings to location with habitat parameters identified in FY09 research. To date, transplant has not been successful. Habitat investigation for introduction opportunities is being revisited.
