General Information

The Morrow Bay kangaroo rat has yellowish fur on the top and white on the bottom. The tip of the tail is white with a dark cinnamon stripe on top of the tail. The average adult weight is 63 grams, and the average adult length is 293 mm. The kangaroo rat has large hind legs and a long tail, and has a white stripe on its hind leg. Also known as the hip stripe.
