For Holmgrens, disturbance from livestock and recreation has resulted in increased weed cover in the State Line population and this needs to be addressed due to strong population decline at Atkinville Wash(2016). Additional monitoring is being implemented by BLM/UVU to determine livestock impacts (2017). For Shivwits, even though livestock is mostly excluded in habitat, herbivory from rabbits is high. Caging of individual plants is planned on BLM and NPS lands(2017).
