There is a neww agreement between the Service and Tropic Ventures Sustainable Forestry to establish populations of E. haematocarpa within the Sierra de Cayey. Under this agreement they will be propagating material of E. haematocarpa. These efforts were postponed due to hurricane Maria (2017) and ongoing recovery efforts.
