The Delhi and Newport booms remain in place. The San Diego Creek boom has been removed due to reduced efficacy from surrounding vegetation. Re-establishment of this boom likely will rely upon the County securing any necessary permits to manage vegetation in this vicinity and securing funding to operate the boom. Volunteer trash clean-up days are implemented by the Friends of Newport Bay and Trails- 4-All to remove debris from within the Bay and along the Delhi channel.
