The species is conserved by easment within the Glenwood Open Space Preserve and Scotts Valley High School land. Ben lomond spineflower and Ben lomond wallflower are both found within easements at Ben Lomond ecological reserve and the Quail Hollow mitigation bank.

This is an unpublished report in draft form as of 8/5/11. In 2016, adaptive management is being used for Scotts Valley polygunum and Scotts Valley spineflower on the Scotts Valley High School Preserve. There is little to no management on the Polo Ranch, and no management on the Salavation Army land. In 2019 a management plan for Polo Ranch is still indevelopment.
