USFS conducted prescribed fire at Poison Canyon in Oct 2023. In 2024, the USFS found quite a few SIORCA seedlings in the burn area and marked some to monitor. They will return next year to monitor. No monitoring occurred at Moutain Home Lodge. 2022: WDNR began implementing the next phase of monitoring of the Camas Meadows population with polygon sub-sampling after the completion of the full census of all polygons that was completed in 2021. USFS continued annual surveys of the Poison Canyon population. Annual survey of the Mountain Home population did not occur in 2021-2022 to avoid interference with UW RareCare research project on SIORCA microsite characteristics in response to prescribed fire funded by USFWS. 2021: WDNR has completed baseline polygon surveys at Camas Lands NAP. All following years will include polygon sub-sampling. 2019: WDNR NHP is monitoring all extant sites and recently extirpated site from 2019-2021. Only populations on private land with landowners not amenable to monitoring haven't been monitoring in 2019. Update from 2013: Increase in second year reflects implementation start-up costs. WDNR Natural Heritage, UW and USFS have implemented a systematic survey practice designed to monitor counts of all known populations, as well as 100 small "frequency" plots, and 3 large frequency plots, not all in any single year, however. Repeated in summer 2013.
